Christina Craig, RYT-500 is the founder of Yoga Sprites, an empowering and empathic approach to children thriving in their lives, with the foundational practice of yoga and mindfulness during critical ages of development.

Mothering a tribe of boys in downtown Manhattan, with a husband who frequently travels, was motivation enough for Christina to rely on the impact of yoga & mindfulness. With a thirst for continued learning, Christina is always exploring ways to welcome more people to the mat and yoga and often practices in studios in NYC, Brooklyn, and Wellfleet, in Cape Cod, MA. Christina prides herself on being an advocate for wellness, yoga, mindfulness and meditation. With her authentic maternal approach, she crafts an enlightening experience on and off the mat with her clients. This is well supported with respect for fine physical alignment, the structural foundation of yoga asana and a deep rooted reliance on the studies of Yogic philosophy.

The seed of creation for Yoga Sprites was borne when Christina & her husband began their family in 2007 and referred to yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises), mantra and chanting, to guide her own postpartum experience, with not one, but three vibrant sons.

In addition to extensive practice and study, Christina has built a private clientele for 10 years in the downtown NYC community. Christina has taught children since 2010 at public and private schools ( including children with disabilities), volunteered at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the post-cancer (alternative) treatment program, and continues to work with yoga practitioners of all ages. You will find her in the year ahead dedicating her service to reaching children and families through yoga and mindfulness, and exploring retreats, workshops, camps and waterfront series as a means to integrate Yoga into the lives of others. She also holds a B.A. in Communication from Rowan University.
